Robin Hadfield - Interim Senior Pastor

Vision: To see a church one in heart, clear in purpose and strong in love. To see a church living out the word of God, filled with the Holy Spirit to accomplish great things for God.

Previous work/experience:
• Interim senior pastor at Arbor Heights Alliance Church, Woodinville Alliance and Union Hill Church.
• 15 years in New Zealand from 1989 to 2004. Senior Pastor of a Baptist church and then running our own business with International Students.
• 10 years living in southern California 1979-1989: church plant.
• Ten years in Indonesia 1969-1979 as missionaries with WEC International.

Education: Two years at Worldview Centre Of Intercultural Studies, Tasmania, Australia. Graduated with Diploma of Cross-Cultural Ministry. B.Th through the International College, Phoenix AZ.

Family: My wife, Marcia, and I have three adult children: Duane, Heather and Alicia.

Hobbies: Anything to do with my family, grandchildren in particular play an important role. Relaxing through gardening, movies, reading a good book. Exercising with my wife as we continue to win the war of eating right and being healthy.


Jeff Joyner - Interim Worship Pastor

Vision: To facilitate Christ-centered worship through multiple expressions of praise and adoration to the Lord with the audience always being God, not us. To be a church that seeks to glorify God in everything we do by highlighting the character and work of Christ in ways that lead to both reverence and celebration.

Previous work/experience:
• 4 1/2 years as Pastor of Worship and Arts at Woodinville Alliance Church, Woodinville, WA.
• 10 years as Pastor of Worship at Bridgeway Church in Alpharetta, GA.
• 5 years in the Celebrative Arts ministry at The Grove Community Church in Riverside, CA., the last 2 1/2 years spent as Pastor of Worship.
• 8 years in the Music Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ traveling with full time Christian Bands, Producing, Directing, Recording and Composing within the Music Ministry, which is now entitled Keynote Communications.

Education: Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from West Georgia College, Carrollton, Georgia. Institute of Biblical Studies seminary course studies, 2 courses to completion.

Family: Reside on Whidbey Island, Washington, with my wife, Sherry, and my two boys, Josh and Taylor.

Hobbies: All kinds of music stuff, listening to my IPOD, working on my MAC laptop, running, coffee, lattes, sports, any Puget Sound activity, pigging out at buffets with my boys and of course, hanging out with my wife.


Jenny Torgerson - Children's Director

Vision: My vision is to see kids excited to come to church and learn about God's love for them in a safe atmosphere of fun and fellowship, to see them desire to follow Christ and to help them build a foundation of faith that will serve them through a lifetime of ministry.

Previous work/experience:
While waiting for God's call into full-time ministry, I worked my way through high school and college in a variety of different office jobs. For 19 years I worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, starting out as a secretary and eventually specializing in grants administration. It's not a typical background for working in children's ministry, but it has provided excellent administrative experience that has come in handy when organizing VBS, harvest parties, Christmas programs, and scheduling teachers and helpers.

Education: I started with an Associate in Technical Arts degree from Everett Community college and then went back to the University of Washington to complete a BA in Zoology.

Family: As the oldest of five siblings, I take great joy in vying for "favorite aunt" status to my 4 nieces and nephews. My mother lives in Everett and most of the family lives in the surrounding areas. Thus we are able to maintain close contact with each other.

Hobbies: Give me a needle and thread, and I can spend hours sewing, quilting, or cross stitching. I also enjoy looking for and re-using or re-purposing finds from antique malls and thrift stores.


Duane Morris - Director of College/Young Adult Ministries

Vision: Work in progress.

Previous work/experience:
Worked with Campus Crusade for 5 years primarily at Oregon State University and the UW. Current Director of On Reasonable Ground, a ministry training believers to defend the Christian Faith primarily at the University of Washington. Also serving as assistant boys basketball coach at King's High School.

Education: Bachelor's in Bible and Youth Ministry, Puget Sound Christian College, 1995; Master's of Arts degree in Philosophy of Religion, Talbot School of Theology at BIOLA University, 1998.

Family: He & his wife Ann live in the South Lake Union area.

Hobbies: He enjoys basketball and particularly coaching both the high school team and young kids. He is definitely a sports fan who enjoy's attending Seahawks games.


Joe Stengele - Interim Student Ministries Pastor

Vision: Make disciples of Jesus Christ who are authentically walking with God within the context of intimate Christian community.

Previous work/experience:
Six years volunteering at Christ Memorial Church in various capacities from Young Adult Service Director, Summer Camp Activities Director, to most recently High School Director.

Education: Associates Degree in Arts and Science, Olympic College, 2005
Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Literature w/ minor in Business Administration, Northwest University, 2008

Family: My parents and oldest sister KristiAnn and her family live nearby on the Kitsap Peninsula, while sister Alena lives with her husband on the East Coast.

Hobbies: I am an avid outdoorsman and love to explore the outdoors where I see the handiwork of God, as well as staying active through playing sports. I enjoying traveling to see new places and reading a good book.


Marcia Hadfield - Pastor of Church Health

Vision: To see the Body of Christ function as diverse members who are united in their love for God and one another.

Previous work/experience:
37 years of co-laboring with my husband, Robin, in missions, church ministry and our own business of working with international students.

Education: Four years at Prairie Bible College, majoring in Bible and minoring in Pastoral Studies.

Family: My husband, Robin, and I have three adult children: Duane, Heather and Alicia.

Hobbies: A good book at the end of a busy day, keeping family ties strong by 'being there' for our children and grandchildren, coffee dates to "touch home base" with friends, hospitality.


Sharon Carson - Site Coordinator for Tutoring

Vision: My desire is to not only meet the World Vision/KidReach mission of building a better world for children through one-to-one mentoring relationships that meet the academic and social needs of children in our community, but also at the same time provide opportunities for "bridge building" with their parents and our community's schools. My hope is that these interactions will lead to a receptive spirit toward not only our church, but also toward knowing our God and Saviour.

Previous work/experience:
Interim Director of Children's Ministries; taught K-6th grades in Shoreline Schools; Elementary Coordinator for Sunday School; taught Sunday School, VBS, Awana, Good News Clubs, and was a Camp Counselor.

Education: Completed three-year program from Multnomah Bible College; Masters from Western Washington University in Early Childhood Education.

Family: Two children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Hobbies: Reading, gardening, walking, cooking and doing crossword puzzles.
